Meet the Maker

Well...here's the story.

You’re probably wondering who came up with this whole LIVINGMAJIK thing, so I suppose I should introduce myself.

I’m Rashelle.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 40 years.

Forty.

As in four decades.

As in there are probably people reading this who weren’t born when I started.

Every time I say it out loud, I have the same reaction:

“Well, that escalated quickly.”

Over the years, I’ve owned salons, beauty supply stores, boutiques, and an academy where I trained new professionals entering the industry. And while people often assume the biggest thing I gained was experience, the truth is that what I gained was perspective.

When you spend decades talking with people about beauty, health, confidence, stress, life, and everything in between, you learn a lot.

Mostly, you learn how much none of us really have it all figured out.

My own wake-up call came in the mid-1980s when severe food allergies barged into my life completely uninvited.

I didn’t ask for them.

I certainly didn’t appreciate them.

But they definitely took over.

I had to figure out why certain things made me feel better while others made me feel worse? Because, trust me, back in the '80's before people knew what gluten was, I just looked crazy.

One question led to another, and before I knew it, I was happily disappearing down rabbit holes about nutrition, herbs, wellness, and how the body works.

Years later, I went back to school to study Naturopathy and became certified by the American Naturopathic Medical Board.

Not because I was trying to reinvent myself.

I just genuinely wanted to learn.

That’s still true today.

I’m endlessly fascinated by how much nature has to offer and how much we’re still learning.

These days, it seems like everyone is asking the same questions:

What’s in this?

Where did it come from?

Do I actually want it in my home, on my skin, or in my body?

I’ve been asking those questions for a very long time.

All those discoveries led to product formulations, because we deserve to know what is going on our skin... and thats where LIVINGMAJIK came from.

Not from a grand business plan.

Not because I thought the world needed another brand.

But because after years of learning, experimenting, teaching, and asking questions, I wanted to create things that reflected what I value.

And if you’ve made it all the way to the bottom of this page, thank you.

You've officially read more about me than most people ask on a first date.

So let's call it a day. Grab your green juice and cheers to good health.
